We are super excited. Today is actually my last day at work, which is shocking to me that I am still going strong. The baby is sitting so low it hurts to sit for a long period of time, but I want more time off after the baby is born than before.
I hit 38 weeks this past Tuesday. Again, I can't beleive I made it this far. Reeves was born just at 35 weeks, so I never in a million years thought without bed rest or mediciation I would make it 38 weeks..God works in mysterious ways! I am very thankful for the baby staying put and cooking a little longer! I went to my doctor appt on Tuesday, and no progress at all, so Dr Soufi scheduled me for induction for Tuesday night. They are going to start the meds, and then more than likely the baby will be born on April 1st..So Happy April Fool's Day!! I think it will be a great Bday for our baby. Reeves was born on July 1st, so the boys will be exactly 21 months apart to the day. Very easy to remember! We are going to lay low this weekend and relax. I even think tomorrow I may go see a movie..something I have not done in forever!

Reeves update...well he is a spit fire little boy! He is talking more and more each day. He loves to tell you what Monkey's do, elephants, dogs, etc. He thinks everything is the color yellow..but I think he just likes saying it. He loves to walk into rooms, and say hello, and bye bye. I can't beleive how big he is getting. He is going to be a great big brother. My parents are coming up on Tuesday to help out with Reeves while Barry and I are in the hospital. They are going to have so much fun!

Enjoy the new pic of Reeves at 20 months. He loves the camera, but has a hard time staying put to pose. This was taken from my cell phone..I had to be quick..

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/ScuLl_4i4QI/AAAAAAAAAPs/lVQuF6mqkbc/s320/Reeves+20+months.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317497269961023746" />

Updates

Well, things are moving along in the George household. I officially hit 34 weeks with this pregnancy, and starting to panic. I went into pre-term labor last week at 33 weeks 2 days. 3 rounds of terbuline later I was able to leave. No bedrest, which actually shocked me, but good for me, since I know I am a bad patient. After the trip to labor and delivery I starting thinking about all the things that I dont have for this baby..bottles, diapers, formula, etc. My parents came into town this past weekend, and we hit Babies R Us. I loaded up on items that I know I would need right away. Also, Barry was able to get the nursery about 95% finish. We have decided to put hardwoods down in the room, so that is pretty much the last thing that we have to do. Other than the panic from not having everything done, I am feeling okay. Tired, and huge, but okay.
Reeves is awesome! He is learning more and more each day. His favorite thing now is holding his hands in the air and saying "where did it go"..it is too cute. He is very much into Elmo and Spoonge Bob and Nemo. They are his go to stuffed animals around the house. I can't beleive he is already 19 months old going on 20 very soon. Where does the time go?
Well, just wanted to post a quick update to our status, and to Baby George #2 arrival. Hopefully he will decide to be good and stay in my belly for a little while longer. I delivered Reeves at 35 weeks, so that would be next week if we are on track with what I did before.

Time has gotten away from me again!!!

Well, things are moving very fast around the George household. Reeves is all over the place and hard to catch up with. I think he is going crazy not being able to really run around outside. I can't wait for the weather to get nicer, so we can head to the park. We have been busy traveling yet again. We went back to Orlando for Barry to run the Disney Marathon. He did awesome!! 2 marathons in under 6 weeks..I was totally impressed. He finished, not his best time, but what do you expect after just running one. He is back on the road training again..for what race I am not sure. I know he has a 2009 schedule that he is working on, but with the arrival of new baby George coming soon it may be a wrinkle in the plans. Here are some pics from the weekend. We had a great time. My parents came up from Tampa and watched and Reeves was great. It was nice outside, so we were able to enjoy downtown Disney as well as all the marathon festivities. I am registering for the half marathon to run with Barry for next year. That is my ultimate goal! I have a year to train..I think I can do it. Barry is actually going to run the Goofy race, which is the half marathon on Sat and then the full marathon on Sunday..I personally think he is goofy if he runs that! Oh well...
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/SYGut0CMAYI/AAAAAAAAAPU/2dGzdQ-NDaQ/s320/Barrys+wall+signing+Disney+MArathon+Jan+09.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5296706738849579394" />

On another note, I just hit 31 weeks. Time is surely moving fast. I head back to the doctor (high risk) today for another ultrasound. My OB seems to think my cervix has gotten shorter, but my high risk doc will do an ultrasound and let me know for sure. I am flying tomorrow to VA for one of my best friend's bridal shower that I am co-hosting. I so hope they clear me to fly. I was not suppose to travel 2 months prior to delivery which would be about this weekend..so my OB is going to wait until she hears back from my high risk doc to see if I can go or not. I need a girls weekend so bad..so I am hoping they let me go. Also today is Barry and I's 4 year anniversary. I think we are going to try and go out to dinner tonight just the two of us. I can't beleive it has been 4 years..time has flown by...it has been an awesome 4 years!!

Well here are some additional pics of Reeves. He is growing up so fast right before my eyes. I still have fun dressing him in cool outfits. He can finally fit (almost) into crew-cuts. J-crew's version of kids clothes. They are still big, but the sweaters in x-small fit him somewhat. Enjoy..and I hope everyone is having a great week..
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/SYGtuzaoyiI/AAAAAAAAAPM/XQvzC5Oy21o/s320/Little+Man+Jan+2009.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5296705656351935010" />

Happy New Year and 26 weeks!

Well, we had a great Xmas and New Year. We traveled to Disney with my parents for 2 days, and Reeves loved the theme park. We took him Pirates and the Haunted Mansion. I thought he would freak out on the Haunted Mansion, but he did really well. He loved meeting the characters, and walking around different places. We are actually traveling back to Orlando the weekend of Jan 11th..Barry is running in the Disney marathon. Not sure if we are heading to a park or not, I would actually like to take in some of the outlets and malls in Orlando than another theme park...but we will see. Here are some pics of Reeves and the rest of the fam at Disney World.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/SV5xEcvVS9I/AAAAAAAAAPE/lCb4pwROr70/s320/Captain+Hook+and+Crew+Disney+Dec+08.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286787333827677138" />
Xmas was a great time. After Disney we headed to my parents house in St Pete. We always have such a good time there. The weather was perfect, and we were able to enjoy the outdoors with shorts and short sleeve shirts on. We also took Reeves to the beach for the first time. He loved the sand and got more in his diaper and hair than anywhere else. It was great! Here are some pics of Reeves enjoying Clearwater Beach.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/SV5wKWr61mI/AAAAAAAAAO8/3_GP7AZ7HWU/s200/Reeves+loving+sand+Dec+08.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286786335770334818" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/SV5wKO3fgzI/AAAAAAAAAO0/qRiI1543Rr8/s200/Reeves+at+Beach+Dec+08.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286786333671392050" />

I on the other hand just hit 26 weeks, and everything is looking good. I am starting to get into panic mode, since we basically have not bought anything for the new baby yet. We are actually going tonight to get the bedding and then next week sometime order the crib and dresser. Other than that, I think it is just little things that need to be bought. All doctor reports are good. I am starting on the shots in my hip next week. I was suppose to start earlier, but have been a slacker, and actually got yelled at by the doctor. He said everything looked great, but still he wanted me to start on the progestrone anyway. I dont have to go back and see him for another 3 weeks.

I hope everyone has a great start to the New Year!

It's Almost Xmas!!!

Well we survived a trip up north to see the in-laws and celebrate Xmas with my brother in law and his family and my inlaws. We had a great time! The drive up was horrible, as it rained the entire time and took us 15 hours to get to Ocean City, Maryland. I think next time we just fly into Baltimore and drive down. It would be much easier! Reeves did great in the car. We had a DVD player, and he was able to watch all his favorite movies. We were able to walk the boardwalk in Ocean City, however everything closes down in the winter time, so it was rather dismal. Reeves had a great time though. He was trying to chase down birds, and he would stop at every leaf and try and pick it up. It was rather chilly out, so we didn't stay long. Here is a pic of Reeves with Barry on the boardwalk in Ocean City..

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/SUqiwBgVM_I/AAAAAAAAAN8/9A4IHCTql7s/s200/Dec+08+Barry+and+Reeves+Boardwalk+OC.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281212458966791154" />

My brother in law and his family with my nephew arrived on Friday. AJ is growing up so fast, and it was so much fun to see them. Reeves had a great time with his cousin. We opened gifts, and needless to say Reeves is so spoiled!! I brought stuff for him to open, as well as my inlaws going insane with gifts, and my siter in law and brother in law doing the same. He will have more to open when we head to FLA this Sunday too..I think I may take some of the stuff that I got him to open in FLA and save it until his Bday or when the new baby arrives. I dont think he would even notice. Here is a pic of my adorable nephew!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/SUqldWpweJI/AAAAAAAAAOU/C2asbvxNwCM/s200/DEC08AJ.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281215436760840338" />
We headed to the Ravens vs Steelers game on Sunday. It was a great game, but the outcome was horrible. Here is a pic of where our season tickets are located. We are in the top level. I have not been to a game in 3 years, so I had a blast going to all the tailgates, as well as the game. It was sort of cold, but we had enough clothing on that it really was not that bad. We also taught Reeves how to do "touchdown". He lifts his hands in the air. It is super cute! He did get his first Ravens sweatshirt, and loves it!! He is the future QB!
OUR RAVENS SEATS!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/SUqmDSxyfuI/AAAAAAAAAOc/njzOcVgsYMU/s200/Dec+08+Ravens+Seats.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281216088555814626" />
TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/SUqmdHU7htI/AAAAAAAAAOk/fr9Ug3AjcVU/s200/Dec+08+TOUCHDOWN!.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281216532158580434" />
Reeves also got his first hair cut. He really doesn't have that much hair, and to be honest we want to grow his hair longer. However, since we were in MD, and the guy that first cut Barry's hair is still good friends with my inlaws, and so he was able to come and cut Reeves hair. He did well, and we were able to save a little piece. It went rather quick, and we had to bribe him with a raisin bagel. YUM!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/SUqkdZn80AI/AAAAAAAAAOM/xx3axmwsa-E/s200/Dec+08+Reeves+1st+Haircut.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281214338046939138" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/SUqkJFAbTFI/AAAAAAAAAOE/6_1ESnAqzdw/s200/Dec08+Reeves+1st+Haircut.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281213988915072082" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/SUqmw04HG_I/AAAAAAAAAOs/Y7qGwCZ9ew8/s200/Dec08+Reeves+1st+Haircut+(7).jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281216870803250162" />
We head down to FLA this Sunday to celebrate more Xmas. We start at Disney World on Sunday, which is my favorite..I think Reeves is going to love it! Then we head to my parents for another eating adventure! I felt like all I did while we were in MD was eat! Everything was so good!!!

22 Weeks and counting!

Well we are at 22 weeks, and moving along. This pregnancy has so far been very different than the first one. For one the baby is sitting really low, so the pain is much more intense. Also, if you think about it, I have only known for 7 weeks that I was even pregnant. Everything is moving along great, and I am enjoying getting bigger each day. We had an appt this past week with Dr T, and he said everything looked great. Measuring about 3 days ahead, which really isn't much of anything.
This weekend we dont have any exciting plans..I have to work, and we have a friend's daughter's 1st Bday party on Sat. We leave next Thurs for Maryland to celebrate Xmas with the inlaws. We are also heading to the Baltimore vs. Pittsburgh football game. GO RAVENS!!!

Here are some of the latest ultrasound pics. The second one is of the baby's feet. It is hard to see...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/STb8XG7U5QI/AAAAAAAAAN0/9QotfV5Ea8c/s320/22+weeks.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5275681487437751554" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/STb8WyrdTLI/AAAAAAAAANs/zTwC8EjSYzI/s320/22+weeks+feet.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5275681482002484402" />

Happy Thanksgiving..

Well, we survived another wonderful holiday! It was amazing. I so much love having all my family in town. It can get crazy with all of us under one roof, but we had such a great time. My parents came in on Wed from FLA, and then my sister and brother in law and 2 girls came in Thanksgiving morninig from VA. Barry finishing his marathon, and he took off over 11 minutes from his previous time. It was awesome to watch! He did such a good job. His time was 3 hours and 43 minutes...which is amazing in my book. I dont think I could run 26.2 miles in under 24 hours..let along 3 hours and 43 minutes. He was very pleased, and is already gearing up for another race in FLA in Jan. He is planning on running the Disney marathon the weekend of Jan 11th. I can't travel past Feb 1st, so it will probably be our last trip.
Here are some pics of Barry running his race.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 233px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/STPm6ZmAimI/AAAAAAAAAMg/Q-turc90lms/s320/Barrys+marathon.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274813479558089314" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 233px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/STPm6JLzbLI/AAAAAAAAAMY/bzyBdHYe2xk/s320/BArry+finishing+marathon.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274813475153210546" />

Thanksgiving feast was awesome! We ate, and ate and ate. It was great being around family, and it gives you so much to be thankful for. After thanksgiving it was let the Xmas shopping begin. We actually entertained going at 12:01am to the mall which was opening, but I think the turkey kicked in, and we all decided to sleep. My dad however got up and went to Walmart at 5am to get his blueray DVD player that he wanted. He was so happy! We hit the mall, but about 2 hours into it, I had to sit down. The pain is so bad from this baby. I will survive, but man it hurts! I went to the doc on Wed and she just basically put me on slow down mode! I am not really suppose to lift my son, which I know is easier said than done on my end. I am suppose to just take it easy, and she told me hopefully it will get better. I start to go now every 2 weeks to Dr T. at Atlanta Perinatal to have my cervix checked, so that will put my mind at ease!
Sat we took Reeves down to Lenox to ride the Pink Pig. He loved it. It is an Atlanta tradition..it was awesome, and he had such a great time.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!! Here are some fun pics from our holiday..

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/STPoLx3QYTI/AAAAAAAAAM4/qHxdNrzW9BM/s320/Reeves+pointing+Nov+08.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274814877642285362" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 233px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/STPoLUyFYvI/AAAAAAAAAMw/rzKPdFIgJUg/s320/Pink+Pig+with+Mommy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274814869835965170" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_MjLGgavcxKw/STPoLBPt3tI/AAAAAAAAAMo/46G0tkiZdag/s320/EE+and+Aub+Nov+08.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274814864591544018" />

One more note. I had this lower pain with Reeves after around 27-28 weeks. It is starting a little too early in my book. I got a call yesterday from my OB who wants me to switch from Dr Stone at Atanta Perinatal to Dr Trivett. She said all my new blood work came back fine, but she is still concerned about pre-term labor. Dr Stone has been wonderful..he checked Reeves every 4 weeks, however he is just a radiologist, and Dr Soufi (OB) would rather me see a specialist. That is fine with me, better safe than sorry in my opinion. I start on the progestrone shots next week after our doc visit with Dr T. I will see him every 2 weeks from what his nurse told me on the phone yesterday. I love those visits, you can see the baby every 2 weeks!

Well, Thanksgiving is approaching, and I am so excited. My parents are on their way up here from sunny FLA, and my sister and brother in law are heading in from VA Beach with their 2 girls. We will have a full, fun and crazy house..but we will love every minute of it!

This past weekend was a great weekend. We got a lot of cleaning done, and cleaning out! I have been nesting, so I had the VA come and pick up about 15 bags of clothes. Then I cleaned out part of the basement, and Barry cleaned and put things away. I feel a little more organized! The baby's room is complete, and now all we need is bedding, crib, and dresser..just the big stuff. It is coming together. We also went and had our family Xmas pics done. Reeves was a little monster..and wanted to run all over the place instead of pose for pics. When we finally got him to pose, he was such a ham.

Hope everyone has a great and wondeful Thanksgiving!

Half way there!!! (or close to it!)

Well, we are half way there in this pregnancy. I am getting super excited!! I was 20 weeks on Tuesday, and had another OB visit yesterday.
I have been having a lot of lower pain early on this pregnancy..this happened with Reeves, but not until 27-28 weeks. So I was nervous, and asked the OB about it. She said that is common with a second pregnancy, but since I delivered Reeves at 35 weeks, and went into pre-term at 34 weeks she had some cause for concern. She checked my cervix, and she told me it was low. She then told me I needed to get checked out by a perinatal specialist. I go to one every 4 weeks for ultrasounds, but she wanted me checked out this week. I was able to get in yesterday at 3pm. The doctor was great, and checked everything out. He said my cervix was fine, and long, which is a great thing! The one thing he was concerned about was the fact I was having these pains this early, and I delivered my son early. He was not sure these pains were the reason I delivered early, or it was the fact that I am short..and I will have to deal with them. He wants me to go on progestrone shots in my hip once a week until 34 weeks. Barry will have to give these to me. This will stop any type of pre-term labor. Barry was a little nervous, but I think he will do fine. Other than the shots and the lower pain, I am doing great, and getting bigger each day!
Update on Reeves. He is almost 17 months old, and is in constant motion. He is running now, and loves to get into everything. I told myself I was not going to go overboard this year on Xmas. He has so much stuff right now, but of course I went overboard. I hit some great deals at Toys R Us. They are small stuff, but he will have a lot to open. We are so looking forward to Thanksgiving this year. My parents are heading into town next Wed, and my sister and brother in law and their two girls are coming in as well. We will have a full house, but going to love every minute of it. Barry is running the Atlanta Marathon on Thanksgiving morning. So we are heading down to the city around 6am for the 7am start. He has been training for a while, and he gets up and runs every morning in this cold weather!
I hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://georgesouth.blogspot.com/2008/11/half-way-there-or-close-to-it.html' title='Half way there!!! We had to have help having Reeves, so I was always one step ahead and knew exactly what was going on and what was to happen next. We found out at 4-5 weeks that I was pregnant, and so I had lots of time to let things sink in. This pregnancy we found out at 15 weeks, and where we are over the moon excited..I still can't help but feel more anxious or nervous that something is wrong. We see a high risk doctor every 4 weeks, and he tells me everything looks great, even Barry is not worried. I think it is just maternal instincts..and I am sure everything is fine. It is just me being paranoid! I just feel so rushed this time. I am half way there already, and we have only known for less than a month that we were pregnant. We went into Babies R Us the other weekend, and I almost had a mental breakdown. I feel like we are so unprepared, even though we have everything we would need to bring a baby home today, (except the diapers and formula)...but equipment we are good on.
The babies room is coming along. Barry is going to finish it up this weekend. I need it done so my sister and brother in law who are coming for Thanksgiving can have a place to sleep. We are going to order the crib and dresser when my parents are here for Thanksgiving. The bedding I am going to order in the next few weeks. Still trying to make the final decision. Everything is coming along. I am getting bigger, and bought some more maternity clothes over the weekend. Maternity pants are still a bit big, but my pants are small, but I am making them work. Tops on the other hand are all maternity pretty much. I need to start shopping for a winter coat.
Well, the stomach flu hit us again!! Barry was down on Monday, and I got it Tuesday. It is horrible, but only lasts 24 hours if that. I was fine on Monday, and was determined not to get it. I washed my hands every 5 minutes, and Lysol the whole house top to bottom. But 330am on Tuesday morning, I was in the bathroom sleeping on the floor..I could not move. I was finally able to feel a little better last night around 8pm. I was still weak, since I had not eaten anything all day, and basically had 5 crackers and some Gatorade..but that didn't stay down for long. I am feeling much better today, and it is like it never happened! Reeves just loves to bring things home from school to share!!! Gotta love daycare, and kids germs!
Other than working on the babies room, Barry and I have a date on Sat. I am super excited. Reeves school has a "parents night out" on Sat night from 5-10pm..I signed Reeves up. He loves that place, and all his little friends are going to be there. They provide dinner, and movies, and lots and lots of play time. Barry and I are going to go see a movie and go to dinner. Nothing too exciting, but a nice night out.
I will start posting some belly shots soon..I have started to feel the baby move more and more now, which helps!

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

Happy Halloween and 18 Weeks!!

We had an awesome weekend. First we started at Reeves daycare. On Friday they had a parade and a class party. The kids loved being outside in their costumes..minus the 80 degree temp. Reeves had to be burning up in his all black spider costume. He kept the hat on which was HUGE. He doesn't like hats much these days, so for him to keep it on was a miracle. Here are some pics from his school and class party...

Friday night we had some good friends come over and we attempted to take the kids trick or treating..Attempted is the key word. They were running in all sorts of directions. Reeves wanted to stop and pick up every little thing on the ground, from rocks to leaves to wrappers. It took us about 2 hours to walk a block. We had a wagon, but Reeves really didn't want to stay in the wagon..he wanted to be out and about walking around. It was cute though...and he had a really good time. He crashed around 8pm, and mommy and daddy were not too far behind him.

Here are some Halloween Trick or Treating Pics..

Sat Barry worked on the nursery, which is looking amazing right now. I will post pics soon. I have to pick out the bedding, which is hard..there are too many choices!!

Wednesday we head to the high risk doc, Dr Stone...I will be anxious to get there and see him. So far I really have not felt the baby move. I am 18 weeks today, and I dont really remember when I felt Reeves move for the first time. I know it is still early, so tomorrow I will be anxious to see the little guy. I am still feeling good, just getting bigger.

Hope everyone has a great week!

17 weeks!!

Well, it is hard to beleive it has been 2 weeks since we found out we were pregnant and I am already 17 weeks. I am feeling really good, just tired..but I think that has to do a lot with chasing a 15 month old around the house. We have taught Reeves to say "baby", but he really has no idea what it means. I had to go and buy some maternity tops, and get back into my "fat" jeans. I don't know why I saved them, but I am glad that I did. This weekend I am going to go and get some more pieces...last time I was pregnant was in the summer, so none of my clothes will work. Oh well..Happy Shopping to me!

Well, just wanted to give a quick update..and welcome to 17 weeks and counting!

We are pregnant again!

I had posted the information earlier, but had to remove it....let me re-post.

Let me start off by saying, that this was a total shock. Barry and I are expecting again, and we are already 16 weeks along.
We went into our fertility doctor, Dr C on Oct 13th to "talk" to her about having another baby. The first thing they like to do is an ultrasound to see where you are in your cycles. Well, sure enough when she started the ultrasound there was a rather large baby in there. I started crying, and Barry started laughing. We really didn't know what to think!
We called family right away, and they were shocked, surprised and excited. On Oct 15th we headed to the OB and High Risk doctor for our appointments. Everything looked great, and I was measuring 15 weeks. The baby was moving all over the place. It was really starting to sink in that this was all happening.

Today...
16 weeks and counting! I am feeling much better. Our house has been hit by the stomach flu. It was horrible. We traveled this past weekend to FLA for a good family friend's wedding. We left on Thursday evening. Around 830pm we decided to stop for dinner at Crackle Barrel, and sure enough if not the minute we got our food, Reeves decided to show us what he had eaten the entire day. He didn't know what was happening, so of course he started to cry. It was hard to watch. This was the first time he had gotten sick.
The wedding was amazing, and we all had fun. It was Barry and I's first night out without Reeves if you can believe it. We hired a babysitter, and went with my parents...however on the way home the stomach flu got me big time! My dad had to pull over, and to spare all the gross details, the inside of my dad's new Lexus doesn't look new anymore. He wasn't mad..I tried to make it out the door..just sometimes you can't control! Anyway, I got sick from about 11pm until around 2pm the following day. I basically slept on the bathroom floor, and didn't eat anything but crackers and drink Gatorade for 2 days. Barry called my OB who called me in some anti-nausea meds, which worked great. I am starting to feel better, but still not all the way there. Eating better, which is good..I was worrying that I was not getting enough in me for the baby, even though I couldn't even keep water down.
This weekend we are laying low. Barry's parents are visiting, and we are going to work on the nursery. There is lots to get done before this baby arrives. Right now they are saying I am due April 7th, but I figured I am due anywhere between the last week in Feb and April 7th. I delivered Reeves at 35 weeks 1 day, so anytime after that I figure I am due. Let's pray for the baby to stay in as long as possible!!

Life on the Farm and at the Fair!!

We had a great time this past weekend. We went to visit Cagle's Farm. Reeves LOVED petting the baby cows, and was not afraid at all. We did a corn maze, which in Georgia was very HOT. It was 82 on Sat, and basically Barry and I just wanted to get out of the maze as fast as possible. Reeves loved running around and picking at the corn. We got our pumpkin for Halloween. Barry is going to carve it up here soon. Here are some pics from the Dairy Farm.

We then went to the county fair last night with some friends. Reeves rode his first roller coaster. He had a great time. I think it was because it was Nemo!

Other than the fun stuff we have been doing on the weekends, we have been relaxing. We are gearing up for the holidays! I have been feeling much better since my scope last week. They found out I don't have an ulcer, which is great news! I have an irritated esophagus, whatever that is. They put me on some great meds, and it is really working and helping. I am able to eat a little more solid food, but still scared to eat anything really heavy. Our Thanksgiving has grown! My sister and her family are now coming as well as my parents. I am super excited!! I haven't seen my sister in a long time, so it will be fun to get together with her family. Then we have Xmas coming quickly. How time flies!
Hope everyone enjoys their week!

Interesting Weekend....

Well, the weekend was starting off awesome! My mom was in town, which is always the best. We went to dinner on Friday, and then shopping on Sat. Well, Sunday I started to not feel well and so my mom took me to the ER. They did some testing, and determined I have eaither a hernia or ulcer. Fun stuff! So I go on the 2nd of Oct for a scope. They put you under general, and then scope your stomach. Right now I am eating plain bagels, cracker, and chicken noodle soup. I can't really eat too much. Hopefully they will be able to figure out what is wrong and give me some meds to make me feel better.

Other than Sunday at the ER. The weekend was amazing. We did shop on Sat, and determined Reeves can not hang anymore. He is at the age where he doesn't like to be in the stroller, and when he is out and about walking he runs and gets into everything! So I think his shopping days are over, at least for long trips. Oh well..he did do well, and we did move him this past weekend into his big boy carseat. We chose the Britax Marathon carseat. So far, I love it! He seems to like facing forward and enjoys checking out new views, that and he can breathe! The other car seat was getting rather tight. We go on Oct 8th for his 15 month checkup. It is hard to beleive he is already 15 months. It seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital.

I have added some pics of our visit with my mom. Reeves is totally into Finding Nemo, and loves sitting and or laying on his Pottterybarn Kids chair my parents got him for Xmas last year. It is too cute, and time where mommy can get some things done. He also loves my mom's sloppy joes! They got everywhere..but he sure enjoyed himself!!

Hope everyone has a great week, and a great start to fall!

What a great weekend!

WEll, we had a wondeful weekend. It was very busy with lots of fun activities. Friday we decided to go to our neighborhood outdoor movie. They were showing Ice Age the Meltdown. I didn't know how Reeves would handle sitting outside for a long period of time, but he did great for about an hour an 1/2. I don't think he cared too much for the movie, but he had fun eating pizza and playing. Saturday, we went to his friend's Isabel's first Birthday party. He had a great time! Then on Sunday we headed to this new place, called Catch Air. I had heard about this place through friends, and have been dying to take Reeves. It was an indoor playground. He had so much fun!! We got home after running some errands after Catch Air, and he slept for 3 hours. He was so tired!
Well, it's back to work..but in 4 days my parents will be here!! I love when they come and visit.

Well, that's the quick update on our weekend. Hope everyone has a great week.

It has been forever...

Well, I am going to get back to writing more on here. We have been super busy, and Reeves is definately keeping us more and more busy! He turned one on July 1st, and ever since then I dont think we have sat down once!!! He started walking on July 30th. It was awesome. I knew it was a matter of time. He had been standing by himself without moving for a few weeks, and then finally took a step. I had the video camera ready to go, and was able to get it all on film. He really had become a mover and a shaker!!

He is now 14 months, and had to have ear tube surgery on Sept 8th. He was such a trooper. He did so well. He had about 7 ear infections recently (over the last 6 months), so the doctor decided our best course of action would be the ear tubes. He bounced back, and acted like nothing ever happened. I think it had to do with "Finding Nemo". His new favorite movie. We brought that with us to the hospital, and he layed there in his hospital bed and watched. (see pic below..I couldn't resist..he looked so precious!).

We have a busy few months coming up. We are heading to FLA on the 18th of Oct for a wedding of a dear friend, and then the 1st weekend in Nov we head back to FLA for the National Ironman Championships. One of our good friends man the Nationals, so we are heading to Clearwater to cheer him on! GO BOB! Then we have Thanksgiving, where thank goodness we are staying put! Then we head to Maryland and FLA in Dec. I will be happy when the 1st of the year rolls around and we are home for a while.

Well, I am off to work. But I wanted to update with pics and and update to our lives.

Have a great weekend!

Some new Pics...

Reeves Swinging

Well, we have had a fun couple of weeks. We traveled to Baltimore and VA Beach to visit our new newphew and niece. My sister, Eeryn gave birth on 4.2.08 to a healthy baby girl, Ava Annetta, and my sister-in law Nicole gave birth on 3.31.08 to a healthy baby boy, Anthony John. We were very busy traveling, but so happy we were able to visit and see both babies. Everyone is doing great!

Reeves has been fighting another ear infection. This is #4 since Dec. They are not talking tubes yet, but I think if we have one more then we may end up going that direction. I sure hope not. Yesterday was not fun as Reeves got the stomach flu, or I think. He sure was acting happy..but then kept getting sick. Kids! Doesn't even phase them one bit.

Well, the next couple of weeks we are staying put! We are going to do some landscaping, since the weather has been so nice here. We have been taking Reeves to the swings at night in our neighborhood, and he LOVES them. He laughs and and smiles. I can't beleive he is going to be 10 months old in about 2 days. Time sure does fly by. He is starting to crawl..or at least trying to crawl. He will get on his hands and knees and rock back and forth. Let the chasing begin!

Enjoy the new pics...

Happy St Patty's Day

Well, we had a very intereting weekend..We spent most of Sat in the basement of our home. There were really bad storms that came through Atlanta, and ended up hitting our area on Sat afternoon. There was rather large hail, and tornados. This was the first time I had ever really been through a storm like that before. Reeves did great..he had no idea what was going on. Our neighbors came over with their 5 month old daughter, and we all ended up in the basement. We were not there very long, and afterwards you would have never known anything had even come through our area.

Other than the intereting weather, nothing much has been going on. Reeves is getting so big, and making so much noise. I know he wants to start talking..I think he just has so much to say. He has not started crawling yet, but he is starting to roll over more and more. This morning we went to his crib, and he was on his stomach. We always put him on his back to sleep, and he just moves all over the place in his crib. He loves to stand up while holding onto things as well. He is so much fun right now!

After the storms on Sat, we went to the PIcture people to get some Easter pics taken. I will have to post them later, but Reeves did great! He sure does love the camera.

Here are some pics from before we went to the mall..and him playing around with Daddy's Ipod..(the music was turned off), but it was a cute picture.

Enjoy...

It has been a while..

Wow..it has been a while, but things have been super crazy! Reeves is getting so big. He turned 7 months on Feb 1st, and getting ready to turn 8 in a few days. I can't beleive time is flying by this fast! He is sitting up on his own, and loves sitting in his play room and laughing at Barry. He is so much fun to just sit and watch. It was a sad day at daycare however the other day. He is moving up to Infant Room #2. I think it is harder on me than anyone. I have to admit that he is growing up!

Well, we have been super busy this past few months. Barry has been training for a marathon, and 2 weeks ago run his first at Myrtle Beach, SC. He did awesome, and came in at 3 hours and 56 minutes. We were all so proud of him, and his dedication. It was awesome to watch! Hopefully by next year I will be joining him.

Well, we have a busy spring coming up. Reeves and I are heading to FLA next weekend for a quick trip. We are flying down there. I am a bit nervous, this will be the first time Reeves has been on a plane. I am sure everything will be fine..but I dont want to be "that parent" with the screaming child. Oh well..I am sure I won't be the only one. Then the first weekend in April we head to VA Beach for my sister's baby shower. She is due the middle of March and we are throwing her an "arrival" shower. Then in June we head to Long Island for a wedding of a close friend. That will be our first trip without Reeves. I am excited, and sad at the same time. He will be around 11 months old. We are leaving him with my parents who have already started planning the weekend. They can't wait!

Other than the traveling coming up..nothing much else is going on. I have decided to go back to school in the fall. Well, I am going to go and study and sit for my CPA license. My work really looks highly on having one. So wish me luck. I have my MBA, and I do finance, but they really like us to know more accounting stuff. Should be interesting. Barry's season is getting ready to start, so I need to wait until he is finished.

Here are some pics of Reeves and some of Barry finishing his marathon. Enjoy!

Sitting up on his own! We survived another amazing holiday with family and friends. We traveled to FLA for 9 days, and visited Sea World and Disney. Reeves did amazing with all the travel and site seeing. Of course he was spoiled this year, being his frist Christmas and received lots and lots of toys. We are back in Atlanta now and getting back into the swing of things. Hope everyone has a fun filled 2008! Today is also Reeves half Birthday. I can't beleive he is already 6 months old. Where does time go? It feels like yesterday that I was on bedrest, and getting ready for the big day.

God Bless Reeves and Bad perfume!

Well it was another fun filled weekend here in GA...and let me tell you going from 75 degree weather to actualy snow flurries yesterday is insane!! I realized that I do not enjoy living where there is a 50 degree temperature swing on a daily basis. I love Atlanta, and we dont plan on moving, but my goodness!! No wonder I am sick pretty much the whole winter.

Well, yesterday was a big day for us. Reeves was baptized. He did so well..( I will post pictures shortly). He was the only one at our church that morning, and he smiled and did not throw up on the deacon eaither :)..if you have seen him recently you will understand what I am talking about. He loves his formula, but also he likes to see it later on his bib! My parents were able to make the trip along with Barry's parents. It was really fun, and we did a nice brunch afterwards.

After the baptisism my mom and I headed to the mall of course..and man people are nuts!!! I literally witnessed two grown women fighting over a shirt at Gymboree. It was a little girls sweather that was on sale, and one women said to the other " I was here first and had my hands on it"..I had to laugh out loud. I mean the little girl probably wont even like having the sweater on let alone fit into it in a matter of months. Oh well..Tis the Season! We were also at Macy's..where I seriously think there should be a law against really bad perfume in malls during the holiday season. We were in girls polo looking at some stuff for my niece, and this women I believe took a bath in what had to be Walmart's brand of their perfume! It was so bad, my mom and I had to walk away and forget what we were looking for. We headed to Dillards, where it was not on sale as much, but at least we could breathe! I even made a comment out loud.."Oh my, what is that smell?" Well, again "Tis the Season for bad perfume"..it must have been a gift from someone.

12 Days of Christmas..Or 12 Days before Christmas, however you see it...

Well things have started getting rather busy..and the holiday’s are approaching quickly. We have the tree up, and I decided since it is Reeves first Xmas we would get out all of the decorations. I have also decided to do most of my shopping online this year. I have decided people are NUTS, and can’t drive around the holidays.
Case in point. I was driving to a local Target, as many people know this is my home away from home. I figure a store where you can buy tampons and a sweater can’t be all that bad J Anywho, I was driving down a lane to park, and sure enough this woman comes through all the parking spots like a bat out of hell. I honked my horn (this is a little Bmore coming out in me), and she actually flicked me off as to say I was doing something wrong. She was the one cutting through the entire parking lot the wrong way. If I didn’t have my son in the car with me, I would have ignored and kept on my business, but I so nicely rolled down the window and told her to learn how to drive through a parking lot, and next time she could have hit someone. She saw I had an infant in the car, and said she was sorry..considering the side of my car she would have hit would have been my son’s. I checked out her license plate, and such enough she was from out of state..(state to remain nameless). Then and there I decided to order on line. I mean I love the hustle and bustle like anyone else, but decided this year with having my son in the car it was not worth the risk. People are insane around the holidays!
This Friday night we take Reeves to see Santa Claus, with every Tom, Dick and Harry around. It will be fun, but I am sure he will have no memory of this, nor the long line that we are going to have to wait in. I don’t mind. They have a cookie place right near the Santa station ( I am sure they set it up there on purpose)..I can’t imagine what the cookie places revenue is for the month of Dec when Santa is present. It is probably better than any other month of the year. Kids, Santa and Cookies..Oh my!!!

Well this is my first blog, and as I sit here at work..trying not to do work, I can't help but think of all the things that are coming up! We are getting ready for the arrival of my inlaws tomorrow for Xmas, and then my parents are heading this way on Sat, and my son's baptism on Sunday the 16th. We are going to be very busy the next few weeks, but it is all filled with good food, friends and family. We head to FLA for another fun-filled Xmas on the 21st of Dec. Head to Sea World, and then onto my parents..needless to say I am super excited to get away!!

As the holidays are approaching, I have also sat back and thought of all the things that I am thankful for this year..We as a family have had one rollercoaster year!

1. I am thankful for my husband, who after being married to me for almost 3 years is still patient with me when I start ranting and raving about the dumb things!

I am thankful for the birth of my son..who is the best gift that I have ever received, and I am enjoying each and every day more and more.

I am thankful for my wonderful family who I love more and more each day.

I am thankful for the time I had with my grandmother, who after fighting 4 long years against Altizmers lost the battle on Nov 11th, 2007

I am thankful to all my friends

I hope everyone has a wondeful holiday!
