Latest George Family Update

Well, it has been a while, and I am getting really bad on writing..But here is the latest on what is going on in the George household.
We are gearing up for Baby George#2 to arrive. We are super excited. Today is actually my last day at work, which is shocking to me that I am still going strong. The baby is sitting so low it hurts to sit for a long period of time, but I want more time off after the baby is born than before.
I hit 38 weeks this past Tuesday. Again, I can't beleive I made it this far. Reeves was born just at 35 weeks, so I never in a million years thought without bed rest or mediciation I would make it 38 weeks..God works in mysterious ways! I am very thankful for the baby staying put and cooking a little longer! I went to my doctor appt on Tuesday, and no progress at all, so Dr Soufi scheduled me for induction for Tuesday night. They are going to start the meds, and then more than likely the baby will be born on April 1st..So Happy April Fool's Day!! I think it will be a great Bday for our baby. Reeves was born on July 1st, so the boys will be exactly 21 months apart to the day. Very easy to remember! We are going to lay low this weekend and relax. I even think tomorrow I may go see a movie..something I have not done in forever!

Reeves update...well he is a spit fire little boy! He is talking more and more each day. He loves to tell you what Monkey's do, elephants, dogs, etc. He thinks everything is the color yellow..but I think he just likes saying it. He loves to walk into rooms, and say hello, and bye bye. I can't beleive how big he is getting. He is going to be a great big brother. My parents are coming up on Tuesday to help out with Reeves while Barry and I are in the hospital. They are going to have so much fun!

Enjoy the new pic of Reeves at 20 months. He loves the camera, but has a hard time staying put to pose. This was taken from my cell phone..I had to be quick..

Updates

Well, things are moving along in the George household. I officially hit 34 weeks with this pregnancy, and starting to panic. I went into pre-term labor last week at 33 weeks 2 days. 3 rounds of terbuline later I was able to leave. No bedrest, which actually shocked me, but good for me, since I know I am a bad patient. After the trip to labor and delivery I starting thinking about all the things that I dont have for this baby..bottles, diapers, formula, etc. My parents came into town this past weekend, and we hit Babies R Us. I loaded up on items that I know I would need right away. Also, Barry was able to get the nursery about 95% finish. We have decided to put hardwoods down in the room, so that is pretty much the last thing that we have to do. Other than the panic from not having everything done, I am feeling okay. Tired, and huge, but okay.
Reeves is awesome! He is learning more and more each day. His favorite thing now is holding his hands in the air and saying "where did it go"..it is too cute. He is very much into Elmo and Spoonge Bob and Nemo. They are his go to stuffed animals around the house. I can't beleive he is already 19 months old going on 20 very soon. Where does the time go?
Well, just wanted to post a quick update to our status, and to Baby George #2 arrival. Hopefully he will decide to be good and stay in my belly for a little while longer. I delivered Reeves at 35 weeks, so that would be next week if we are on track with what I did before.

Time has gotten away from me again!!!

Well, things are moving very fast around the George household. Reeves is all over the place and hard to catch up with. I think he is going crazy not being able to really run around outside. I can't wait for the weather to get nicer, so we can head to the park. We have been busy traveling yet again. We went back to Orlando for Barry to run the Disney Marathon. He did awesome!! 2 marathons in under 6 weeks..I was totally impressed. He finished, not his best time, but what do you expect after just running one. He is back on the road training again..for what race I am not sure. I know he has a 2009 schedule that he is working on, but with the arrival of new baby George coming soon it may be a wrinkle in the plans. Here are some pics from the weekend. We had a great time. My parents came up from Tampa and watched and Reeves was great. It was nice outside, so we were able to enjoy downtown Disney as well as all the marathon festivities. I am registering for the half marathon to run with Barry for next year. That is my ultimate goal! I have a year to train..I think I can do it. Barry is actually going to run the Goofy race, which is the half marathon on Sat and then the full marathon on Sunday..I personally think he is goofy if he runs that! Oh well...

On another note, I just hit 31 weeks. Time is surely moving fast. I head back to the doctor (high risk) today for another ultrasound. My OB seems to think my cervix has gotten shorter, but my high risk doc will do an ultrasound and let me know for sure. I am flying tomorrow to VA for one of my best friend's bridal shower that I am co-hosting. I so hope they clear me to fly. I was not suppose to travel 2 months prior to delivery which would be about this weekend..so my OB is going to wait until she hears back from my high risk doc to see if I can go or not. I need a girls weekend so bad..so I am hoping they let me go. Also today is Barry and I's 4 year anniversary. I think we are going to try and go out to dinner tonight just the two of us. I can't beleive it has been 4 years..time has flown by...it has been an awesome 4 years!!

Well here are some additional pics of Reeves. He is growing up so fast right before my eyes. I still have fun dressing him in cool outfits. He can finally fit (almost) into crew-cuts. J-crew's version of kids clothes. They are still big, but the sweaters in x-small fit him somewhat. Enjoy..and I hope everyone is having a great week..

Happy New Year and 26 weeks!

Well, we had a great Xmas and New Year. We traveled to Disney with my parents for 2 days, and Reeves loved the theme park. We took him Pirates and the Haunted Mansion. I thought he would freak out on the Haunted Mansion, but he did really well. He loved meeting the characters, and walking around different places. We are actually traveling back to Orlando the weekend of Jan 11th..Barry is running in the Disney marathon. Not sure if we are heading to a park or not, I would actually like to take in some of the outlets and malls in Orlando than another theme park...but we will see. Here are some pics of Reeves and the rest of the fam at Disney World.

Xmas was a great time. After Disney we headed to my parents house in St Pete. We always have such a good time there. The weather was perfect, and we were able to enjoy the outdoors with shorts and short sleeve shirts on. We also took Reeves to the beach for the first time. He loved the sand and got more in his diaper and hair than anywhere else. It was great! Here are some pics of Reeves enjoying Clearwater Beach.

I on the other hand just hit 26 weeks, and everything is looking good. I am starting to get into panic mode, since we basically have not bought anything for the new baby yet. We are actually going tonight to get the bedding and then next week sometime order the crib and dresser. Other than that, I think it is just little things that need to be bought. All doctor reports are good. I am starting on the shots in my hip next week. I was suppose to start earlier, but have been a slacker, and actually got yelled at by the doctor. He said everything looked great, but still he wanted me to start on the progestrone anyway. I dont have to go back and see him for another 3 weeks.

I hope everyone has a great start to the New Year!

It's Almost Xmas!!!

Well we survived a trip up north to see the in-laws and celebrate Xmas with my brother in law and his family and my inlaws. We had a great time! The drive up was horrible, as it rained the entire time and took us 15 hours to get to Ocean City, Maryland. I think next time we just fly into Baltimore and drive down. It would be much easier! Reeves did great in the car. We had a DVD player, and he was able to watch all his favorite movies. We were able to walk the boardwalk in Ocean City, however everything closes down in the winter time, so it was rather dismal. Reeves had a great time though. He was trying to chase down birds, and he would stop at every leaf and try and pick it up. It was rather chilly out, so we didn't stay long. Here is a pic of Reeves with Barry on the boardwalk in Ocean City..

My brother in law and his family with my nephew arrived on Friday. AJ is growing up so fast, and it was so much fun to see them. Reeves had a great time with his cousin. We opened gifts, and needless to say Reeves is so spoiled!! I brought stuff for him to open, as well as my inlaws going insane with gifts, and my siter in law and brother in law doing the same. He will have more to open when we head to FLA this Sunday too..I think I may take some of the stuff that I got him to open in FLA and save it until his Bday or when the new baby arrives. I dont think he would even notice. Here is a pic of my adorable nephew!!

We headed to the Ravens vs Steelers game on Sunday. It was a great game, but the outcome was horrible. Here is a pic of where our season tickets are located. We are in the top level. I have not been to a game in 3 years, so I had a blast going to all the tailgates, as well as the game. It was sort of cold, but we had enough clothing on that it really was not that bad. We also taught Reeves how to do "touchdown". He lifts his hands in the air. It is super cute! He did get his first Ravens sweatshirt, and loves it!! He is the future QB!
OUR RAVENS SEATS!!

TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!

Reeves also got his first hair cut. He really doesn't have that much hair, and to be honest we want to grow his hair longer. However, since we were in MD, and the guy that first cut Barry's hair is still good friends with my inlaws, and so he was able to come and cut Reeves hair. He did well, and we were able to save a little piece. It went rather quick, and we had to bribe him with a raisin bagel. YUM!

We head down to FLA this Sunday to celebrate more Xmas. We start at Disney World on Sunday, which is my favorite..I think Reeves is going to love it! Then we head to my parents for another eating adventure! I felt like all I did while we were in MD was eat! Everything was so good!!!

22 Weeks and counting!

Well we are at 22 weeks, and moving along. This pregnancy has so far been very different than the first one. For one the baby is sitting really low, so the pain is much more intense. Also, if you think about it, I have only known for 7 weeks that I was even pregnant. Everything is moving along great, and I am enjoying getting bigger each day. We had an appt this past week with Dr T, and he said everything looked great. Measuring about 3 days ahead, which really isn't much of anything.
This weekend we dont have any exciting plans..I have to work, and we have a friend's daughter's 1st Bday party on Sat. We leave next Thurs for Maryland to celebrate Xmas with the inlaws. We are also heading to the Baltimore vs. Pittsburgh football game. GO RAVENS!!!

Here are some of the latest ultrasound pics. The second one is of the baby's feet. It is hard to see...

Happy Thanksgiving..

Well, we survived another wonderful holiday! It was amazing. I so much love having all my family in town. It can get crazy with all of us under one roof, but we had such a great time. My parents came in on Wed from FLA, and then my sister and brother in law and 2 girls came in Thanksgiving morninig from VA. Barry finishing his marathon, and he took off over 11 minutes from his previous time. It was awesome to watch! He did such a good job. His time was 3 hours and 43 minutes...which is amazing in my book. I dont think I could run 26.2 miles in under 24 hours..let along 3 hours and 43 minutes. He was very pleased, and is already gearing up for another race in FLA in Jan. He is planning on running the Disney marathon the weekend of Jan 11th. I can't travel past Feb 1st, so it will probably be our last trip.
Here are some pics of Barry running his race.

Thanksgiving feast was awesome! We ate, and ate and ate. It was great being around family, and it gives you so much to be thankful for. After thanksgiving it was let the Xmas shopping begin. We actually entertained going at 12:01am to the mall which was opening, but I think the turkey kicked in, and we all decided to sleep. My dad however got up and went to Walmart at 5am to get his blueray DVD player that he wanted. He was so happy! We hit the mall, but about 2 hours into it, I had to sit down. The pain is so bad from this baby. I will survive, but man it hurts! I went to the doc on Wed and she just basically put me on slow down mode! I am not really suppose to lift my son, which I know is easier said than done on my end. I am suppose to just take it easy, and she told me hopefully it will get better. I start to go now every 2 weeks to Dr T. at Atlanta Perinatal to have my cervix checked, so that will put my mind at ease!
Sat we took Reeves down to Lenox to ride the Pink Pig. He loved it. It is an Atlanta tradition..it was awesome, and he had such a great time.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!! Here are some fun pics from our holiday..

One more note. I want to wish my good friends, Katie and Jeff luck this Tuesday. They are heading into the hospital to deliver their precious baby!! Congrats, and I can't wait to meet the little one!!
